Custom Femoral Oncology Implants

Stanmore Implants has vast experience in producing custom massive femoral implants to treat bone tumour cases.

Custom implants enable surgeons to collaborate with the implant designer to create an implant that will accurately fit the area of bone resection. Custom implants also provide additional fixation possibilities such as extra cortical plates to provide greater stability.

The key advantage of the custom femur is the ability to accurately resect only the minimum amount of bone necessary to remove the tumour.

For cases requiring a knee joint we incorporate the SMILES knee with the option of a fixed or rotating hinge.

For the skeletally immature tumour patient the JTS extendible prosthesis gives surgeons the option of using a non invasive or minimally invasive growing femoral implant.
